Registration standards: briefly summarize the role and responsibility of the Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife in relation to education

     As a registered nurse we use various types of thinking strategies along with the available evidence in order to provide the safe quality nursing practice after taking appropriate decision. These nursing interventions are focused on the person-centred and evidence based framework. As a registered nurse we are also responsible for accessing, analysing and then using the appropriately available evidence which includes the findings of the research along with safe and quality practice. During our nursing intervention we respect the patient belonging from different cultures, which also includes the role of the family along with the community the patient belongs, such as the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. And lastly, we always perform our task in ethical manner and also, we continuously thrive to improve our quality of nursing intervention (Nursing and Midwifery Board, 2021).

     The teaching session started with meeting my student, who were allocated to me. Before the session, I made sure that I have my feedback form and my lesson plan with me. After that I made sure that all the necessary equipment’s are available and I had also, created a positive environment in the classroom in order to ease the students. Then we started the lesson session by introducing ourselves. We discussed the topic and learning objectives and I asked the students to discuss what they knew about the BLS. After that the entire lesson was demonstrated and also, I have provided my student with the case scenario in order to test their knowledge.
