  • Data Collection (1 paragraph)

  • Ethics and Cultural Considerations (1–2 paragraphs)

    • What ethical and/or cultural issues need to be considered? How will you address those issues in your study?

  • Discussion (1 paragraph)

Reflection
Child abuse and oppression can have significant and long-lasting effects on an individual's mental health and development. During childhood, it can lead to emotional and behavioral problems, low self-esteem,
anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It can also disrupt normal patterns of brain development and increase the risk of substance abuse and suicide.
In adulthood, the consequences can persist and include an increased risk of depression, anxiety, and other mental health problems, as well as physical health problems and difficulties in forming and maintaining healthy relationships. Childhood abuse and oppression can also impact an individual's ability to trust others, form healthy attachments, and cope with stress and trauma. These experiences can have a profound impact on a person's life and well-being, making it important to provide support and resources to those who have experienced them.
Methodology for Sampling
By the virtue of this report, I would be leveraging a blend of probability and non-probability sampling methods. In research on the impact of child abuse and oppression on mental health and development, both probability and non-probability sampling methods are used.
Primarily focusing on non-probability sampling methods, such as convenience sampling, purposive sampling, and snowball sampling, do not aim to create a representative sample of the population. Instead, they often focus on obtaining a sample of individuals who meet specific criteria or who have experienced certain experiences, such as child abuse or oppression. Non-probability sampling methods are often used in qualitative research, where a smaller sample of individuals with specific experiences is desired.
Probability sampling methods, such as simple random sampling, stratified random sampling, and cluster sampling, aim to ensure that each member of the population has an equal chance of being selected. However, I won’t be levering this unless I am targeting a population that is quite large to represent the desired findings.
Data collection strategies for research on the impact of child abuse and oppression on mental health and development can include:
· Surveys or questionnaires: Participants can be asked to complete a self-administered questionnaire or interview that collects information on their experiences with child abuse and oppression and its impact on their mental health and...
