Advantages and Disadvantages of LEGO Utilizing Virtual Teams
There are several advantages and disadvantages of having a virtual team for conducting alliances, maintaining and reviewing it. The first advantage is the cost factor maintaining a virtual team is less costly than having a physical existence. There is no requirement of an office space. The teams are connected from different parts of the world and thus there will be a good mix of culture and participation of various employees from different parts of the world. This will help in cultural mix and bring diversity to the team.
Apart from this, there are several disadvantages associated with the process (Maduka, Edwards, Greenwood, Osborne & Babatunde, 2018). The cost of technology used in this case is high. Tracking the teams and their works are also difficult given the scenario. Communication is again a major problem so is delegation and responsibility for the job.
