Self-development is a continuous process that is extremely important for understanding and improving ourselves in terms of exploiting our potential. It enhances the self-growth process which is a differentiating factor that enhances the performance of an individual in whatever aspects he is engaged in. This particular discussion will focus on the personal factors that were responsible for the poor academic performances and outline the effective ways to enhance the self-development process and ensure greater success in academic performance in the future. It is obvious that personal development enhances the ability to recognize award weaknesses and it is effective to understand what aspects need to be walked on and recognize the values that are present amongst us as an individual.
My poor academic performance can be contemplated by the aspects of concentration and focus that I was lacking during my preparation days. It is obvious that several causes are explicitly responsible for the poor academic performance and these factors need to be addressed effectively to progress in the future career and academic fields. At times I become demotivated and the slothfulness has severely affected my preparations during the examination. Besides had an improper timetable which was a major disadvantage that significantly affected my performance and resulted in an outright failure. I also failed to collect the study materials and keep myself updated with the aspects that were conducted in the class that has persistently affected my academic performance. So inadequate study materials have effectively contributed to my failure in my academic performance. Moreover, under confidence and doubt in myself have effectively hampered my self-confidence which result in my poor academic performance because of and anxiety that I had during the examination. I believe this aspect needs to be effectively addressed to contemplate and ensure greater success in the future by overcoming the difficulties that I had faced which led to poor academic performances. It is effective to recognize and self-evaluate to understand my ability so that I am able to reflect on my efforts and gauge the overall performance of my academics. I have also observed that efficient communication skills were also responsible for my failure in academics because at times I couldn't communicate with the supervisors and professors to enhance my understanding of a particular topic which subsequently result in my poor academic performance.
However, in order to improve my academic performance, I should effectively improve the weaknesses that I had evaluated in the above discussion. Prior to anything, it is effective to consider the development of proper communication skills to make myself clear with the professors such that I can effectively understand the lessons effectively.
