Notes

· Word count can have only plus/minus 10% allowance –
not
including title page, contents page or references. Marks are deducted for wordcounts outside this.

· Your Business Plan should be submitted in a Report Style (not an essay style) with a contents section and proper use of headings.

· The report should include all sections in the format outlined above, but the word count for each section is only a recommendation. However, the whole report must come to 1,400 words (+/- 10%) excluding references, title page, contents, diagrams, tables, appendices etc.

· You must include evidence (research) for your financial decisions and costs, or research that can be used as a basis for a reliable estimate. There will be a deduction in marks if you make financial estimations without providing proof.

· You should never copy and paste from any source:

o Your work is analysed by a plagiarism detector, they are very accurate pieces of software with literally millions of website and articles in their databases to check against your work.

o However, you have to write what other people are saying on the subject, so how you do this if you paraphrase what you have sourced for your research,

o This means you effectively rewrite what they are saying in your own words.

o Everything you paraphrase should have at least one reference, and in some cases at least two reference – i.e. giving it a citation/reference (in APA or Harvard Style)

o Plagiarism of any kind will result in zero marks (see below)

· All work must be original. Any plagiarism which is confirmed will result in loss of marks and disciplinary actions. Please remember, all assignments are tested by the University’s system for plagiarism.
Plagiarism includes:

·
Copying work form another assessment you already submitted

·
Paying someone to do the work

·
Asking someone else to help write your work

·
Submitting any work that is not entirely, or in part, not your effort.

· You can use any references and sources you require, but they must be verifiable and reliable

· You should have between 5 (minimum) to 10 references in your submission.

· All references used must be in the APA 6th
edition format where possible.

· Your assessment should contain a title page, and contents (not included as part of the word count) i.e. submitted using the standard TU Dublin assessment template and TU Dublin style guide. Failure to do so will result in a loss of marks.

· As this is an alternative assessment, failure to submit on time will result in a zero mark for that component, without another opportunity to submit.

As this is an open book exam, the following describes what is and is not permitted:

Is Permitted:

Introduction
Advancements i
n Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and increased use of internet have changed our lives. Use of smartphones has drastically changed the way we access education. These technologies have enabled us to use educational services even after being at a distance. Here, we shall discuss about the business plan of an on phone education services app.
Business Idea
With the increasing usage of internet and technologies like smartphones, e-learning or digital learning has become the priority of most of the students and teachers. A mobile app providing educational services to students of different grades will help them to get quality education in a much easier and faster manner despite of their geographical boundaries. This app will not only assist the students to access the study material but will also provide them with an opportunity to interact with the various subject matter experts, who have chose to share their content and knowledge with the students through this app (El-Sofany et al., 2014). This app will be different in a way that it will provide the students with the opportunity to create and join the study groups, which are related to the subjects of their interest.
This app will provide the students with an opportunity to post questions and discuss their doubts with the students and teachers, who are interested in the subject. This will provide the students with an opportunity to share their ideas and knowledge and will encourage them to be more innovative and creative (Yordanova, 2007). This idea is viable, as this will help the students to continue their studies and gain knowledge irrespective of the contingencies. For instance, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the students may not attend their classes but they can continue with their studies with the help of this app. For every hour students spends on the application they will need to spend some money according to the content they have accessed and therefore, the app will make some money as well.
Market Analysis
The target market for this particular application is the students and staff of TU Dublin. These students in Ireland attending the TU Dublin can be from different grades and different courses. The app shall also prove to be useful for the staff of TU Dublin and can help them impart knowledge to the students, who are willing to gain some. Since, the students may not be able to attend their classes on a routine basis this app may prove to be beneficial for the students and staff. I being a member of TU Dublin am...
