Very likely when you think of these situations, you will smile, which will help reduce your overall body tension. Encouraging positive memories is a central route toward emotional regulation and executive functioning. It is even likely that your blood pressure will change in a more positive direction. Tension produces damaging cortisol in the brain, and we all need to learn to control our bodies more effectively. Positive imaging is a useful strategy for both you and your clients.
