Question 1:
Information system
It can be defined as the set of components to collect, sto
re and process data to provide knowledge, information and digital products. Most of the businesses like Amazon, eBay, Google and many others rely on IS to perform their operations.
Components of IS are computer hardware, software, telecommunications, databases and warehouses and human resources
Big Data analytics
It is a complex process used to examine the large and varied data or big data (Russom, P). It is used to uncover the hidden correlations, patterns, market trends and customer preferences. It helps the organisations to take decisions. The benefits of big data analytics include new revenue opportunities, better customer services, more effective marketing, competitive advantages over the rivals and help in improving operational efficiency (Norcott, W. D).
Change data capture
It refers to the process in which we try to capture the changes made to database. These recorded changes can be used for another data repository. This technology helps to reduce the time and resources required for data warehousing as it enables continuous data integration.
ETL
It stands for extract which means reading of the data from database, transform which converts the extracted data into a new required form to place it into another database and load writes the data into the target database.
RDBMS stands for relational database management system which is specifically designed for relational databases. The data is stored in a structured form using rows and columns.
Hadoop MapReduce
It is a software framework which is used for distributed processing of large data on finding the clusters. It comes under apache Hadoop project which is an open source framework and allows user to store and process big data. MapReduce is the core component to process the data using Hadoop framework.
IoT
