Task details: You have been appointed as a Network System Administrator by the company XYZ in Sydney to allocate public IP Version 4 (IPv4) addresses into 3 different locations, “2 remote offices (Melbourne and Adelaide) and also one main office in Sydney”. The major task is to allocate the unreserved public IPv4 addresses to different offices. Requirements: Your network design need 4 subnets: o Subnet A (Sydney): It requires 63 IP addresses (60 for PCs and 2 for servers (Windows, Fax) and 1 for router interface) o Subnet B (Melbourne): It requires 53 Ip addresses (50 for PCs and 2 for servers (DNS, Database) and 1 for router interface) o Subnet C (Adelaide): It requires 43 Ip addresses (40 for PCs and 2 for servers (Linux, Application) o Subnet D (Between two routers): It requires just 2 Ip addresses You need to use routers and switches to make connection among devices and also between networks. Each office has its own applications, but some applications require inter-department data transfer. All workstations need internet access, company intranet access and also access to wireless network. You need to come with design report and send it to your technical manager. Report: The report must contain the following sections: 1. Introduction: Critical analysis of networking requirements 2. Local Area Network (LAN): Design and description of Local Area Network for all subnets which must include: o Network topology: Discuss the reasons for choosing the particular network topology. o LAN design connections to the servers, connection to other subnets and also the internet. o IP addresses: Find all network and host addresses including subnet masks according to the requirements with using the private address with your choice. 3. Hardware: Provide a complete description of all interconnecting devices (switches, routers, hubs and access points) and wiring used to build the network. Provide justification for your choice. 4. 1. Introduction 
The provided scenario of XYZ Company shows the LAN development requirements, so that, the Sydney office of this XYZ company can make easy connections to Adelaide and Melbourne offices. The utilization of servers and individual systems (PC) in all three offices makes requirement of proper IP addressing. The development of this network is based on two routers where the LAN and sub-netting with VLSM will be maintained with these used routers. The connection with ISP to all three offices of XYZ Company will also be maintained through these used routers. 
The proper administration of network services in XYZ Company requires a proper arrangement of client requirements and other related necessary elements / devices. The use of questionnaires for identification of client requirements will be great idea. The incremented requirements provided by client (XYZ Company) and capacity of transmission among all three offices for data transfer can be defined with requirement collection. The devices with proper required response time can be selected as any delay in transmission can cause huge losses to XYZ Company. The security and database handling must be considered on priority for development of any network. The important collected requirements based on the case description of XYZ Company are listed below: 
· Application division: Each branch of XYZ Company will require different application to perform their tasks. So, application division on server for all offices is important requirement. 
· Future scope of development: As XYZ Company is growing and in future new employees will be added to it. Thus, IP allocation and network must maintain scope of improvement in near future. 
· Implemented security: The operations over network in all three branches require high security.
