Project methodology and its role for project management
In modern time, project methodology is playing very important role for project development. It is combined activity which defined the life cycle related to any specific project. The project methodology has basic five phases: problem definition, plan to develop project, launching the plan to develop project, management of activities and closing the project. The project methodologies are basically of two types: EPM (ecommerce project management) and YPM (traditional project management) [Kerzner & Kerzner, 2017]. The project methodology plays very important and essential role for effective project management. The points to show the role of project methodologies in concept to project management are as given below:
1. The complete life cycle of project development and delivery are defined by the project methodology.
2. The requirement of skills in staff related to programming, backend and front end database, and integrators are defined through it.
3. The partnership in components of any project management is defined by its methodology.
4. The data scatters for any project are defined by its selected methodology.
5. The time requirements for completing the project are determined by its methodology selection. The project methodology also defines the way to handle any arrived problem in project development.
6. The security requirements and their implementation are determined by selected methodology. The daily activities performed to complete the project on time are defined by methodology selection [Kerzner, 2018].
