Assessment 2 Part Two: Primary Healthcare Report
2.1 Primary Healthcare Philosophy
In 75 words, explain the philosophy underpinning primary health care.
Respond here:
Primary health care addresses the significant proportion of a human's healthcare needs over the span of life. This encompasses bodily, social, and cognitive well-being, and it is focused on individuals instead of diseases. The philosophy underpinning the primary health care is centred on the following standards: • Comprehensive perspective of health • Acknowledgement of diverse health variables • Community control of medical services • Promotion of health and preventive care • Care delivery equity • Research-based approaches • Technology that is acceptable, accessible, and affordable (Akehi et al., 2019).
2.2 Defining Health Issues
In 75-100 own words, explain how conducting a health assessment contributes to defining the health issues of the individual and for the community or target group more
oadly.
Respond here:
The health assessment is a sequence of healthcare examinations and tests performed on an individual, community, or target group. They may be conducted by a professional to determine a human's or community's capacity to perform a function, or they may be conducted for a certain age demographic to provide a predictor of a human's medical status and uncover any therapeutic approaches. These assessments are employed to understand the medical, physiological, social, and physical needs. Assessments aid in determining the causes of the illness and determining the capability to accomplish duties. Assessments contribute to overall safety by detecting possible risks or worsening in the health (Nikitara et al., 2019).
2.3 Issues of Health on Daily Activities of Living
· Indicate the impact an individual’s health issues have on their daily living activities, under the following separate headings;hysical (50 words)
· Psychological (50 words)
· Social (50 words)
Respond here:
Physical:
People with arthritis may struggle with having the physical stamina or endurance to undertake household roles such as cooking, cleaning, and washing on their own. Another condition could be fatigue when performing daily activities or recognising that actions that used to take only a few moments are now requiring significantly longer.
Psychological:
It can cause stress, depression, anxiety, and, in some cases, substantial changes in the way individuals live. Later-life depression is related with an increased risk of suicide, death, and impaired motor, intellectual, and emotional stability. All of these are risk factors for mortality. Some individuals are unable to participate in social activities, resulting in solitude and sadness (Burnier, 2018).
Social:
Discrimination against people with difficult ADLs is common in public settings. The overall public's "negative viewpoint" towards people with difficult ADLs may lead to life-threatening distress. Poor social health can also have a detrimental impact on an individual's life, including a reduced capacity to engage with others. Suffering from anxiety and despair. Relational toxicity (CS & TC, 2020).
2.4 Privacy and Consent
Imagine that your client is reluctant for their family to know everything about their health. You feel that the family should know the impacts of the client’s health and any treatment instruction they have been provided, and you would like to talk to them in private so that the client doesn’t know. Should you do this? Indicate YES or NO and explain your reasoning (50 words).
Respond here:
Yes. It is, however, the patient's choice. This is alluded to as "informed consent" in both legal and medical discourse. HIPAA explicitly enables covered entities to...
