Question1
A)
· Unclear Requirements
The unclear requirements from client side leads to delive
ring incorrect product. This leads to loss of time and money resulting failure.
Example: The requirement want database to be backed up on 2 or 4 weeks
The ambiguity here leads to developer assuming 4 weeks but later making change to 2 weeks etc and hence delay (Tuteja, M., & Dubey, G).
· Poor communication
Even though the requirements are clear poor communication can result in missing out finer details of the product which leads to lack of product quality
Example: The client wants the 4 text box and two button (Add and cancel). The cancel button should clear out last 2 textboxes. But due to improper communication. The developer cleared out all text boxes. This creates delay and failure
· Resistance to change
The change in software development is inevitable and if the change in made time to time bugs can propagate into the product and fail
Example: Due to newer requirements older code can be affected which need refactoring of older code. Since the time constraints the changes in old code was not done. This leads to failure
· Not reviewing progress
Guessing project update instead of actual review on daily basis led to unrealistic deadlines and failure
Example: manager doesn’t review daily progress and he thinks the 10 use cases are delivered in 10 weeks. But due to the complexity the delivery time got increased to 12 weeks. The progress should be reviewed regularly, and the time estimates should be updated accordingly (Dorsey, P.).
· Inadequate planning
Over estimating or underestimating resources, time, budget, etc can lead to project failure. Proper planning and update on regular intervals can keep the project on path of success
Example: There is a project where 10 developers are...
