1.0 Abstract
Today in the world of globalization where there is intense competition, growing inclination towards customers as well as disruptions have become second nature to the market. It has become even more essential that business focus on overall development of business rather than just considering the bottom line as a barometer to progress. Development of business is called sustainable only if there is a balance between present and future, essentially implying meeting the present requirements and needs without putting in danger to the ability of future generation to fulfil their needs.
There are numerous studies conducted by environmentalist and scientist who have researched on deteriorating climatic conditions all across world. As per the research, human have excessively become dependent on non-renewable energy and activities has liberated more than three trillion metric tons of harmful gases into the environment. This has created considerable imbalance in the atmosphere from beginning of industrialization in the mid-1700s. Now, after centuries, condition of environment has deteriorated and if the industries as well as organizations both big and small continue these traditional activities to conduct their business, these harmful gases would create an irreparable damage to the planet. As per the studies conducted by researcher, carbon dioxide has accumulated in the upper layer of atmosphere creating hole in the ozone layer, allowing harmful ultra-violet rays penetrating into the surface. This problem if prevailed for longer duration, people will be vulnerable to many harmful diseases. The logical agreement and consensus are very transparent with respect to sustainable development. The operations of the organization need to be curated such that activities performed contribute least carbon emission in the atmosphere. The carbon in our air has made a cover of gas that traps heat and is changing the world's atmosphere. As of now, the planet's temperature has ascended by 1 degree Celsius and in the process of increasing even more. In the event that we do not check outflows and temperatures keep on climbing, science reveals to us that the outcomes will be cataclysmic.
It is the responsibility of the present generation, all the organizations and people to leave this planet in a healthy condition, which is habitable for future generations. In the golden words of Edward Deming, "Quality comes not from inspection, but from improvement of the production process". There is growing significance in bringing sustainable operations in mainstream business. This domain is increasing becoming relevant for many organizations all across the world. Therefore, management practices and strategies that are inclined towards the sustainable operations are critical for a business to thrive in near future.

As actions are powerful than words, an organization can become aligned with sustainable business management only if operations are influenced by the principles and framework of sustainable management (Szeman, I., & Diamanti, J., 2017).
