UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY SYDNEY Urban Stormwater Design Assignment on HRC RAS 2D This aim of this assignment is to undertake an overland flood study. The following should be undertaken for the study in the area shown in the attached plan. · Flood levels at properties 4-12 Lang Street. Assume the existing stormwater pipe has too little capacity to influence the flood level. · A 600 rcp stormwater is proposed along the route shown in the attached map. Check capacity of proposed 600 rcp pipe using DRAINSS. · Revise flood levels at 4-12 Land Street if proposed 600 rcp pipe is constructed. Based on these flood levels state the minimum floor level requirement for the houses at 4-12 Lang Street assuming a 300 mm freeboard. · Present your results in the form of a printed report. The whole assignment including sketches, maps, diagrams etc, must be in one MSWORD or PDF document so that it may be easily printed for marking. Otherwise a printed report should be submitted in class. This assignment is worth 25% of the course mark.
