1. Make sure it has met the minimum page length requirement (5 FULL double-spaced pages) with no unnecessary spaces to help meet length.** The title page DOES NOT count toward your page length. Do not stop writing just because you reached the top of the sixth page, you will lose points for not meeting requirements. 2. Make sure it is free of grammatical errors and typos. I expect quality content from you all. Proof-read your paper! Or have a friend you trust proof-read it for you  3. Points will be deducted if your paper is not in the correct format. You can look up the APA format online if you need to. I am mainly looking for: Times-new roman font, 12-point font, 1-inch margins, cover/title page, running title header, in- text citations, reference page, page numbers at the top. You do NOT have to do an abstract. You do NOT need a method or results section. Pet peeve: try to avoid using contractions (i.e., use cannot instead of can't) and avoid asking your reader questions. You should also avoid using “I, me, my, you, your, we, or our.” 4. Make sure you have at LEAST five references from peer-reviewed journals, articles, and/or books. You can count your text-book as one source. Cite all of your references in text and in your reference page! The reference page and title page do NOT count in your overall page length. 5. Do not plagiarize! I will be checking. Your papers go through an automatic originality checker upon submission. Plagiarized papers will result in a zero and may be reported to the university. 6. This paper is a review of literature. Avoid using any personal stories or your personal opinion to explain gender differences. Stick to writing about what research has suggested and what different theories propose. 7. The general format for this paper: find theories and studies regarding your chosen topic and review them in text. Review the studies you find in your own words. Describe study designs and the results. You can then review theories that support the study results and relate it to content in your book, etc. You don't have to go over a certain amount of theories and/or studies, but you do need to meet the 5 page requirement to receive full credit. **The paper should be double-spaced. Do not add unnecessary spaces in-between paragraphs. It is really helpful to use Galileo on my.georgiasouthern.edu to search for research studies within your topic. Go to "search by subject" and then click on "Psychology". I like to use PsychArticles and/or PsychInfo to find studies to review. You do NOT have to review statistical analyses in the studies. Stick to what the purpose of the study was, you can describe the participants, and measures given, then describe the results that are explained in the discussion section of the study.
