1. The is the issue of the American criminal justice system where innocent people were sent to execution for no wrong doing, due to lack of evidence and even for the reason of racial discrimination. This was an issue which was raised by Harvard law graduate Bryan Stevenson. As per Stevenson, America remains the No.1 democracy to retain the death penalty. Due to this reason from 1976 till 2000 the USA was being called as the world’s leading executor every year (Carol Steiker, 1985). Stevenson also learned that the rate of death penalty began to fall from the beginning of the year 2000. It was due to the fact, that to judge whether the convicts are really criminal and have done any wrong doing introduced and used DNA evidences. Along with this it was the work of young law graduate Stevenson who inspired the American people to move their views more against death penalty. Due to this as per a report published by non-profit Death Penalty Information Center, was reflected as the fourth consecutive year where it was less than 30 cases of executions and less than 50 cases of death penalties reported.
