Smartphones have begun to challenge laptops for the title of most common internet access method.

Transistor radios began as a low-end niche product before going on to revolutionize communications. These vacuum tube versions had great sound quality, but they were also costly, inefficient and clumsy (Nagy et al., 2017). Then Sony's transistor radios were introduced. It was easy to carry about because of their tiny size, but the sound quality was deplorable.
When it came to personal independence and listening to music whenever and wherever they wanted, transistor radios represented this for teens. However, they improved steadily and as a result, their esteem grew. That time span saw the introduction of digital music players such as the Walkman and the MP3, with more than one billion radios sold alone in America.
