The radius to maximum winds describes the range of the most intensive hurricane wind speed. Denote as Rmax; it can be empirically estimated as follows (also see Eq. (12.3.14)):]

where pd is the center pressure difference and 𝜙 is the storm latitude. Calculate Rmax considering two cases: (1) Pd = 10 kPa and (2) Pd = 5 kPa. For each case, you need to consider different values of the latitude.
