The revised rules for removing duplicates in OR-queries would be as follows:


1. Put a marker such as an arrow at the start of each list.


2. Check the URLs pointed to by the markers, and add the alphabetically earliest URL to the result list.


3. Advance the marker one position of the alphabetically earliest URL; if two or more URLs are alphabetically earliest, advance the markers for all of them.


4. Repeat Steps 2–3 until all markers reach the end of the list.
