The Recruiting and screening applicants for employment in Mt. Sinai Health System rest with Talent Acquisition and Retention. Resources and methods used are internal resources, public employment agencies, employment advertising, permanent placement agencies, job fair/conventions. To obtain the required information related to recruiting and screening applicants, I spoke with a coworker that is currently working in Human Resources as well as accessing the Mount Sinai Health System Policy Website and career search website for internal applicants. I searched for Department as Human Resource and Subject as Recruitment. I was able to obtain thorough detailed ways Mt. Sinai attracts and refers candidates. After analyzing the documents and speaking with the coworker, I do think the hospital needs to alter the way they advertise openings and increase job fairs/ conventions and also expedite transfers within the departments as it takes 3 months to 6 months often to transfer positions within the organization itself.
