1. Identify and justify a relevant industry and chosen organization (5 Marks)


2. Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the HR policies, practices and/or strategies in organization, team working and leadership. (10 Marks)


3. Identify the HR competencies required for effective workforce planning. (10 Marks)


4. Evaluate relevant HR theories enabling effective recruitment and selection, including interviewing techniques. (10 Marks)


5. Discuss the existing HR processes and systems, strategic goals and the effectiveness of the HR processes. (10 Marks)

The following project is about the HR practice and polices that Microsoft the technology giant follows. The project will highlight the effectiveness of an effective HR practice and process because that will help the company to reach the heights of success.
Analysis of HR Policies and Practices
Every organization has certain practices and policies, which formed by the HR. Chowhan, Pries and Mann (2017) have discussed the important of HR policies and practice that they develop the value of the company. It helps employees to understand what the expectation of the company from them is. The policies reflect the standard of the business in the market. The HR policies provide the guidance and tools to the managers, which will help them to assist the management of the workforce. The policies will provide rules that will ensure the fairness, consistency and clarity among the employees. This will ensure that legal obligations are considered from the employees part and finally this will aid the new employees to integrate them and bring them to functional in a very shorter period by providing them adequate training.
