    Social media has to play a vital role in almost everybody’s lives today through the uncountable applications and websites. With the help of social media, people all around the world are able to connect with each other, their emotions, experiences, thoughts and many more can be shared amongst themselves. There is no doubt that social media has changed society, culture, work, relationship, identity and other things both in positive and negative ways. Since social media has become such an integral part of everyone’ lives, it is very important to know the impact it has created and how it can be regulated or affect the future. This papers attempts to explain the the way social media is changing things around us and the ways to regulate it.
Social Media Changing Society
    Several people have begun to be certain of that, the greatest challenge experiment around the impact of social media can be the manner in which it is changing the society. The attention seeking set of rules underlying social media that propel authoritarian practices which aims to propagate confusion, prejudice, chaos, and ignorance, by this means simplifying declining accountability and manipulation. Now, piece of information, whether true or untrue, in the society can acquire attention. This results in additional prospective for movements both vindictive as well as welcome. Earlier, it was only media companies that would reach the information, making it harder to spread untrue information. Spreading of false information could happen but it used to be a slow process. In today’s time, anyone can share anything on social media and since people are more inclined towards believing what they see, untrue information can spread just as the truth or if not more simply than the truth (Lindgren, 2017).
    Social media had definitely permitted more things to come up than just movement from the top down. Earlier, everyone was their own media company, propagating to the specific group of people following him or her. It was like that a great brand label would be signing individuals to their paths of fame. Now, social media has completely changed the scenario of these individuals. These individuals can now broadcast their artistic skills at their own online platforms and breakthrough their path of fame. Therefore, social media has certainly changed society by making attention and stardom more independent, not necessarily in a good way always, though (Lindgren, 2017).

    Since social media has become an important fragment of everybody’s lives, it has completely affected the culture in both optimistic and pessimistic manner. Undoubtedly, there are numerous optimistic impacts of social media on culture, for example it has maximised the connections or associations among different types of people, like of diverse cultures and had established a platform, where all these people of various cultures can share their opinions, ideas, thoughts, pictures and many more things amongst themselves (Theriault, 2019).
