If they have used Beams in this project you should calculate the total dead load & live loads on a typical Beam. However, if they have used Girder instead you Should calculate the total dead load & live loads on a typical Girder. 4) (Example is shown) 5) Choose a column somewhere in the floor plan and calculate the Loads On each floor. Once you find the Floor Plan & Roof Plan, take screen shot & attach the Picture. Then, Find and Calculate these based on what they used in the assembly (Miscellaneous, Structurelam crosslam “CLT “ , Mech/Electrical, Column, Girder, wall etc). Please note that since our Construction assembly will be different then it might have other material used. for example, they might not have CLT in the structure. (Example is shown in bellow) You Should Be able to the drawing and calculate these Numbers based on the material they have used in the construction assembly. You Might need To research on Find for example What is the weight Of a 10”x 24” GLB and then write it here. At the end Add all values and obtaion the TOTAL DEAD LOAD & TOTAL LIVE LOAD of each assembly. 5.5+4.5+17+11+4+3=45 psf Total Dead load Step 3) If the project consists of BEAM choose a beam in Floor Plan & Roof Plan and Calculate the LC Like this & Draw the Shear and Moment Diagram. If they used Beams only the you should do this step for beams & if they used girders instead you should do for Girder. (Example is shown in bellow, in this example since they had girders in project they calculated for girder) FLOOR GIRDER OR BEAM: FLOOR GIRDER OR BEAM: Step 4: Choose a Column from Flor or roof plan & Calculate the forces on each floor as follow at the End you should calculate for “LC” of each floor. ( Example is shown here) Step 5) Once you have done the step 4, create a table like this & input all the values obtained. Please Note that some values in the table comes from the Floor & Roof Construction Assembly.
