The Formative Assessment is a survey conducted on the employees of OMG Ltd to access on the criteria of what employees think of OMG Ltd. on “Great Place to Work”
model
. This assessment will help us to un
derstand the employee mindset about the company, analyse and improve on the
employer-employee relationship based on the survey recovery.

1. What data does HR hold that will assist in this activity?
OMG Ltd. is a large manufacturing organization in United Kingdom and wants to conduct a “Great place to work” survey. They have already designed the questionnaire of the survey and want the HR of the organization to allocate it among the employees of the organization and analyze it. This will help them to recognize the specific problems of the employees and improve the relationship with the present employer. The following are the information the HR holds that will assist in the formative assessment activity:
1. The HR holds the survey questionnaire which the company has provided to distribute it among the employees and analyse based on the responses received.
2. The HR also holds the employee identification numbers which will eventually help to distribute the survey questionnaire to the employees.
3. The HR holds the scale range based on which the ratings needs to be done by the employees in the questionnaire. The range mentioned here is between: 1 to 4. 1 is considered poor, while 4 considered the Excellent.
4. The survey form which needs to be circulated in the divisions of OMG Ltd. is available with the HR. The division are: South, East, North, West and North West.
5. The questionnaire will have three rewards based on which the employee will provide their choice of importance. The three rewards are Holiday, Bonus and Pension. The data of all the employees are available with the HR who are actually eligible for the above three rewards.
6. The eligibility criteria data will be available to the HR from the survey questionnaire “Yes/ No” question. Here “Yes” means the employee agree with the criteria that OMG is a “Great place to Work” for while “No” means they disagrees on the same criteria.
2. How will you distribute and recover the survey?
The following are the ways the survey can be distributed and the data can be received from the employees:
1. The survey can be conducted by sending a link in employees’ smart phones or mobile phones. This is because most of the employees are on the job role which means most of the employees have field work or marketing and client visiting jobs. Hence, these employees rarely access to their emails. If link is send through emails it may be possible that they might fail to see the survey questionnaire and will not be able to complete the survey. Therefore, is a link of the survey and the questionnaire form is send via the smart phone then it will be much easier for them to check and complete the survey at any point of time.
2. The Survey questionnaire will be kept short and crisp. It will be a one page survey form and will consist of employee ID, Division in which the employee work and only 3 questions. It will hardly take 3 minutes to complete the survey form.
3. The survey will consist of a small incentive. The first 3 employee who will complete without rushing through the survey will be awarded prizes or gifts in the form of gift card or cash.
