This aim of this assignment is to design property drainage. The following should be undertaken for the drainage design for the subdivision shown in the attached plan. Part A • Design the OSD system using the UPRCT method. Specify the stormwater drainage from each lot to the OSD and from OSD to pit A. Size the pipe to be located in the inter-allotment drainage (common property drainage) at the back of lots 1-4. Calculation should include a HGL analysis (best done in DRAINS may also be used). Use the pipe size for lot 4 as the pipe size for inter-allotment drainage at lot 5-8. Design of the OSD should include plan and sections of the OSD, orifice details, sedimentation pits, inspection pits (for underground OSD). Include all relevant level information. Part B • Check 450 rcp pipe size from the Pit A to the 600 mm rcp in the street. Relevant levels are given in the diagram attached. Check of 450 rcp pipe size from the Pit A to the 600 mm rcp should include a HGL analysis (best done in DRAINS may also be used). Specify input data to DRAINS in tabular form summarising most important data Present your results in the form of a printed report. Note the report should only include sketches and calculations. Written description of the design procedure is not required. Student should submit the assignment to the UTSonline. The whole assignment including sketches, diagrams etc, must be in one MSWORD or PDF document. This assignment is worth 25% of the course mark.
