Frida Kahlo was born on July 6, 1907, in Coyoacán, Mexico, and passed awa
y on July 13, 1954, in Coyoacán. her full name was Frida Kahlo de Rivera, and original name Magdalena Carmen Frieda Kahlo y Calderón. Known for her harsh and brightly colored self-portraits that engage with individuality, the human body, and mortality, she was a Mexican painter. Despite her denials, she is commonly referred to as a Surrealist (Doeden, 2020). In addition to self-portraits and vivid colors, Frida Kahlo is renowned for her self-portraits and expression of sorrow and passion. Feminists and Mexicans alike admire her devotion to Mexican and indigenous culture, and her representation of female experience and form is admired by feminists. Polio-suffering youngster Kahlo nearly perished in a bus accident as an adult. A fractured pelvis, a broken foot, and a dislocated shoulder were among the injuries she received. With her body immobilized and, in a cast, she began to devote herself to painting. Over the course of her life, she underwent 30 surgeries.

The three chosen works by Frida Kahlo include the Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird, Viva la Vida and The Frame. These three art pieces were created that depicted her life. It is a good example to show the children the use different colors and fruits like watermelon. These pictures attract the gaze of children since the contrast depicted in the image is very vibrant irrespective of the story the paintings hold in them (Nicole et al.).

    A big green leaf and yellow leaf frame Frida Kahlo's face in this photograph. To make matters worse, she's wearing a black monkey's necklace around her neck that's covered with thorns (Chen & Liu, 2020). Throbbing thorns had punctured her neck, causing a severe haemorrhage. A black cat sits on her right shoulder. One of the bird's wings is tied about her neck by the thorn.
    This is Frida Kahlo's last artwork, Viva la Vida, Watermelons. Watermelons, Frida Kahlo's final work, is bursting with colour, curves and angles, as well as a farewell message from the artist herself (Hananto, 2019). A few days before her death in 1954, Kahlo completed her watermelon artwork.
