What do you think are some common misconceptions concerning people with psychiatric disorders? Do you think people with brain disorders such as amnesia or epilepsy are viewed and treated differently than people with psychiatric disorders? What are the reasons why or why not? Do you think they should be treated differently? How can future tragedies like these be averted? Do you think it's fair to eliminate rules regarding doctor-patient confidentiality for certain people (FYI, doctors are required to report if they think their patients are suicidal or are planning to hurt someone; I'm talking about reporting depression, anxiety, etc.,in certain occupations), and to override their basic rights if there is even a hint of potential danger?

According to Mohr et al., a common misconception lies in describing and estimating mental health technologies used to treat people with psychiatric disorders as products. The successful implementation of web-based technologies were claimed to be successful in treating psychiatric disorders but as such, there is no proper substantiation regarding the same.
2. People with Brain Disorders being Treated Differently than those with Psychiatric Disorders
People with brain disorders such as amnesia or epilepsy can be easily diagnosed with few symptoms like forgetfulness or seizures with increased intensity as supported by Cretin et al. The amnesia in increasing stages can be detected by sufficient data from brain imaging. In epileptic people, there is a significant cognitive ageing as supported by Helmstaedter and Witt. There has been detection of only 4.1% in psychiatric disorders as opined by Chege, as these patients do not have any...
