Assessment Description . In this individual assignment, you will be given an opportunity to critically analyse and understand the driving forces of perception, attitudes, motivation, group and individual differences, culture, family and lifestyle that influence consumer behaviour and consequently consumers’ purchasing decisions. Based on the analysis you conducted in Assessment 1, you are required to create a survey via Survey Monkey – a free online instrument. The sample size must include a minimum of 15 participants who recently purchased the chosen product or service that you analysed in Assessment 1. The survey must comprise of 10 questions. You are then required to provide a 6- page summary, analysis and discussion of the key findings from your data collection. Please note that it is essential to seek “real” and valid participants who legitimately purchased the chosen product or service. You are also required to use theories and concepts related to consumer behaviour discussed in weeks 5 to 8 by incorporating consumer behaviour literature into your analysis. These may include government publications, industry reports, and journal articles. To start your preparation for this assessment, please follow the following steps: 1. Purpose:
The sole purpose of this report is to analyze how the product sold by the Kelvinator company is useful to the consumer and how it has affected the market. When making a business effective it becomes very important to gather data, especially of the consumer feedback. Customers are the reason a business thrives and their feedback can grow or make the company to pieces in seconds. Data collection will be done systematically with a survey tool, to make sure verified customers are the people to use the verified channels. The report will be structure step by step method of the flow of the process of data collection and also the key elements in diving deep, which will help in company’s future growth and prospects.
The report will also focus on the consumer buying behavior and what are the main motivations behind the purchase and the method of purchase such as online, cash cards etc. Customer data will be, on whole basis, will be averaged and will be presented in graphical forms of ratings and answers. Feedbacks provided will be noted down understanding the repetitions and demands. It will also focus on the improvement using the feedback and requirements of the customers.
Development of a survey instrument:
For this report organizing a survey is important and I have used tool from the internet to help achieve the goal of my report. Survey monkey is a very efficient tool by which response can be recorded of people to analyze the value of products and services in the market. To achieve the reports goal, I have surveyed 15 customers who have used the Air conditioner sold by Kelvinator company.
Efficiency of survey tool:
Survey monkey is survey tool which is available free to use, but some services are paid and they can be used after upgrading the account. It is very efficient with respect to time management, efforts to conduct analysis, gather opinions of customers, easy to use and other uses. By using this, questions can be kept short and required answers can be obtained and analyzed statically. Responses of the customers will be short but according to our questionnaire and answers system. I also get the privilege of checking my progress step by step and how the customer has responded on each of the attributes through graphs and charts. The tool also provides various download formats of the surveys and their graphical representation without the harassment of searching here and there.
