This short paper assignment is the first step in your final project analysis of the company. It should begin with a brief description (one paragraph) of the case study that is being used. The largest component of this short paper should focus on the culture crisis with specific feature details as contributing factors, based on the elements listed below. This assignment will be submitted in the form of a 750-word minimum paper. Prompt: Use the following case study for your organizational analysis: The GM Culture Crisis: What Leaders Must Learn From This Culture Case Study. After reading the case study, address the following critical elements. I. Introduction A. How is the organization described in the case study? What are its key attributes? What are its strengths andweaknesses? II. Organizational Modeling A. Describe a current behavioral organizational model used in the case study. B. Compare the current behavioral organizational model used above to other models used within the industry and also within external related industries. C. Explain why there are differences between the organizational model used by the organization in the case study and those used by organizations in another similar industry. Introduction
    The case study discuses about GM and describes the organization as a one suffering from serious cultural crisis. The unethical culture prevailing in the organization dragged the organization into some serious issues, which could have been avoided way before if the employees and management of the organization were serious about the culture of the organization not just now but over a period of 11 years. The key attributes of the organization as could be identified through the case study are lack of collaboration, shifting of responsibilities, poor discipline and inability to develop and execute the strategies in a well organized and defined manner. Another major attribute that could be identified after going through the case study is that employees are not being motivated and they have a low self-esteem (Wayback, 2014). The strength of organization is that the staff of the organization is skilled enough to identify the issues and the weaknesses are inabilities to resolve problems in a timely manner and inefficient decisions being made. As mentioned in the case study, lack of sense of urgency and low level of responsibility are other major issues of the organization that have been interfering with the decision making abilities of the employees.
