SNOMED is used in the international medical terminology system for identifying the signs and symptoms of disease and the diagnosis indications present in the electronic medical record of a patient suffering from any disease. This list also contains the enzymes and the drugs used for treating a specific disease present in a patient. The full form of SNOMED is the systematic nomenclature of medicine and clinical terms of relevance used in the medical field. In comparison, LOINC contains the different health-related measurements present in the case history of a patient (Bodenreider, Cornet, and Vreeman 2018). The full form of LOINC is logical observation, identifiers, names, and codes present in the patient diagnosis and case study when a patient is suffering from a specific disease. LOINC coding is normally used for diagnosing specific metabolites present in the samples like blood or urine samples. The LOINC report of a patient contains the healthcare measurements, blood pressure, sample analysis, and the diagnosis of the disease in a collective form. The LOINC report of a patient also contains the medical imaging and the documentation report of the patients in the electronic healthcare record form and in the hardcopy form.
