Essay Requirements:


• 1,000 words or roughly four double-spaced pages.
• Make use of at least three scholarly sources to support and develop your ideas. Our course text may serve as one of these three sources.
• Your essay should demonstrate a thorough understanding of the READ and ATTEND sections.

• Spend some time with the five Impressionist paintings in the “Comparison of Five Impressionist Paintings” section in Chapter 4.

Introduction
    In the 19th century of Europe, a number of artists started a movement called Impressionism, which was an act of defying the government-approved ideas of exhibitions and salons and depicting real landscapes from everyday life and activities in paintings. This movement gave rise to a number of notable artists and many masterpieces that have been brought to light in recent times. Ordinary life and the scenes from both domestic and social activities of human beings found great emphasis in this form of art. Although these kinds of art and painting do not put much emphasis to the subject but the usage of vibrant colors and vivid art style make this form of art different from the others. Soft touches of the brush with pure intense color along with a deeply implied subject make these kinds of art unique. In this article, five impressionist paintings have been introduced with vivid description of one among them.
