Three parts are suggested. Part1 (10% of the grade): produce an ‘intelligent’ summary of the book, what you are taking out of the book, what you learned by reading the book. Remain analytical of the book, no book critique, no development of the author’s ideas or argumentation.
Part 2 (35% of the grade): research the authors background and past achievement explaining why they have produced this book and the evolution of their thoughts, research the main topics developed in the book by other authors, provide book reviews and critics argumentation
Part 3 (55% of the grade): provide YOUR personal and critical opinion related to the ideas and development in the business book by the authors, your understanding of the strategic context and meaning of the business book, argue your opinions and recommendations, elaborate on the relevancy of this business book for strategic management in today’s context, develop the link with the strategic ‘theory’ as developed in the reference book Exploring Strategy.
