*Time: The Kalief Browder Story (Netflix; 16 year old Black boy who was in Rikers solitary confinement for years without even having a court date on the docket) it is on netflix so you will need to watch the video than do the paper. It needs to be a REFLECTION, summarize it and then compare it to something currently happening OR a personal story. YOU DO NOT NEED TO CITE ANYTHING, YOU ARE JUST WRITING A REFLECTION

PSY 2520-01 Final Reflection Paper Instructions Like your podcast reflection papers, the goal is to connect content from your course readings to a media example. This time, the media is of your choosing. Select either a 1) documentary film, or a 2) documentary series. Demonstrate that you have watched your selection, reflected on it, and can connect the content from the media example to the content that you learned from your readings. It is expected that the paper will be about 4-5 double-spaced pages (so at least double the length of your podcast reflection papers), but there is no minimum page requirement. Underline key terms from your readings throughout your paper. This will help you (and the reader) keep track of which course topics you are making connections to. Aim for at least three key terms (more is ok). The terms can come from different textbook chapters. Be sure to cite the media example properly so that the reader knows how to access it. It is okay to summarize the media example, but remember, focus more on your own reflections. Aim for about 25% summary, 75% reflection and connections to course content. (Pro tip – don’t plagiarize from IMDB or Wikipedia – I will know!) LATE POLICY FOR FINAL REFLECTION PAPER: Late submissions, even when late by only 1 minute, incur a late penalty. For each day that you submit your paper late, you will incur a 2-point penalty. SUBMIT YOUR PAPER AS A WORD DOCUMENT OR PDF FILE ONLY! Do not submit as a Pages document because your instructor does not have a Mac computer, and therefore, cannot open any Pages documents. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE YOU SUBMITTED THE CORRECT FILE BY THE DEADLINE! If you realize after the deadline that you accidentally submitted a Pages document or incomplete draft, then the late penalty will apply if you submit the correct document after the deadline. Make sure that what you select is a documentary or docuseries (see the example on the next page): When They See Us is about a real criminal case but is NOT a docuseries because it features actors and a script. Note that it is categorized on Netflix under “TV Dramas” rather than “Docuseries” or “Documentaries.” However, The Central Park Five is a film available on PBS about the same exact case but is a documentary featuring the real people involved in the situation. Note that is described as a documentary in the film’s poster.
