James (4.6 years) taught himself to read when he was 2 1/2 years old. He enjoys the company of his peers but mostly plays alone. James lives with his parents and his two older sisters and they speak Mandarin and English at home.

Introduction to the Gifted Students
According to the NAGC report, the gifted students have a strong sense of competition.
