Introduction to the Gifted Students
According to the NAGC report, the gifted students have a strong sense of competition. The group projects and engagements help them to grow and sometimes they may surprise themselves with unexpected results and inventions (Oppong, Shore & Muis, 2019). Some of the students may find difficulties to achieve success. On the other hand, some bounce ideas from their head and they boost their academic achievements.
The understanding of the task and variation of achieving success nourish the sense of other students and helps them to develop their thinking. The group projects are usually welcomed by the gifted students as they are usually promised with some reward and this kind of activity develops a sense of achievement into their mind.
Speak to the Students’ Interest
This is quite a traditional way of interaction with the students. The students are more likely to have a conversation over their interest points and they are more open about their feelings with similar kinds of topics (Matheis, Keller, Kronborg, Schmitt & Preckel, 2020). The teachers sometimes have to cultivate the topic like building miniature structures of famous buildings or guns and develop the ideas of various types of robots.
The teacher must invest their time into that topic and show interest in the particular project to develop the conversation with that student. The interest point creates a comfort zone and usually helps the teacher to provide the mental connection and safe feeling towards the student. This approach is the prime focus point in this education system. The physical and mental comfort worked like a catalyst and students started to explore different facts and were able to invest time as well as thought into some particular project.
Plan of Tired Learning
The students with high ability will need the more advanced and focused learning resources on the other hand the students with higher disabilities are not able to perform the tough and complicated task. These differences should be the prime focus of a teacher; the assignments have to be particular and customised as per the ability of students.
The special gifted children usually show more interest in those projects, which have an elaborated freedom of invention and application. The teacher will have to act according to the structure and introduce the students with the more engaging and light project moving forward to the complicated ones.
Preparation
Interaction is a vital point in any kind of communication. Teachers or educators play an important role in the academic growth of any student. The gifted children as well as the students usually have a higher dependency level from the other students. The interaction and the pre consultation is very important in that case (Lamanna, Vialle & Wormald, 2019).
Different important knowledge and habits come up in those types of induction classes and the teacher is able to find out the children with higher disability. This process will also help the teacher to identify the focus point and then they can customise the process of teaching in that case. These pre-teaching preparations are important in order to develop the structure and most of the time the teaching process included in this time of preparations.
Collect Thoughtful Response
The open-ended questions required better thoughtful answers and stimulated the thought process of the students. This type of question helps the students to think deeply about the fact and the proofed references that they have. The teachers need to plan their study structure including these types of activity or questions. The various different types of experiments can be done by the gifted students in order to find the answer (Jung, Koo, Hay & Smith, 2017).
These activities will occupy their mind in a certain way and help them to develop their creative sides accompanied with the reasoning factor understanding. Science and lifestyle related questions are more likely to behave in this manner, which needs to be included in the educational structure.
Particular Strategies to Support Children from Disadvantaged Backgrounds
Treat the Students Equally
The students who are coming from disadvantaged backgrounds are quite self-conscious and they have a tendency to curl up in social and group development projects. These types of students need special care and equal treatment to balance out their fear and consciousness. These particular types of features need to be taken care of with respect and love.
The teachers have to take care of these particular cases with empathy and care (Kamarulzaman, Azman & Zahidi, 2017). The involvement of these types of students in the group project with the other students helps to boost up their confidence and energy. The teachers have to be more careful on the issue of bullying and need to be more careful about these types of students.
Counselling
