· Grandparent should be able to deescalate crisis and solve problem through effective communication with their grandchildren
· Grandparent should be able Identify and minimize barriers to parenting
· Grandparent should be able minimizing harsh parenting and develop effective communication strategies
· Grandparent should understand the need to provide stable environment for their grandchildren
· Grandparent should be able to understand behaviour and emotion of their grandchildren
· Grandparent should be able maintain open and honest communication with grandchildren

Preparation
To get the room/ area ready for the sessions you need to:
· This will involve the re arrangement of the meeting room in line with the COVID 19 social distance restriction. The chairs will be arranged in circle, to enable grandparent participating to be engage with each other. The facilitator will present this program from the middle of the room.
· During the session flyers and booklets will be given directly to grandparent participating the session and not on the table.
· The activities and role play will be design and the facilitator will have practice them before presenting.
· Name tag will be given to the all grandparents participating in the program, for identification purpose.
Facilitator tips
The facilitator should present the program from the middle of the room and engage with the all grandparents participating in the program.
At the beginning this session 15mins for arrival of participants, facilitator should spend some time at the beginning to check in with participants.
Facilitator should include at least 2 to 3 breaks for food and activities (such as morning tea & lunch) and don’t overload grandparent participant with excessive information.
