Literature Review
    Tourism and hospitality business go side by side. Tourism and hospitality business aligned with each other and have high influence on each other. From Great Barrier Reef to Sydney Harbor Bridge, there are many reasons for tourists to visit Australia (Australia's International Tourism Industry, 2015). In 2018, around 9.2 million people visited Australia from overseas, which rises to 10 million in 2019 (Australian Government Austrade, 2019). When tourists visit the country, most of them book the hotels before entering the country. There are many factors, which affect the individuals in selecting the hotels while visiting the country.
    As suggested by Radojevic, Stanisic and Stanic (2017), money, location or offers are attractions given by hotel marketers. The broader factors, which seem to have impact on the selection of hotel, are personal preferences, received information, and hotel product. Hospitality business has become the competitive market. All the organisations prefer to know their consumer to add the competitive advantage for their business. As suggested by Ert, and Fleischer (2016), the collection of socio-demographic data and geographical data of the guest help the hotels to understand the need of the guest.
They use the tactics to represent their hotel product to the guests with the help of data. This is helpful in influencing the decision of the customers. The marketing done by the hospitality business is consumer-centred marketing so that people get attracted towards the hotel. This marketing strategy helps in developing the brand image of the hotel and draw attention to all the people towards the hotel. As noted by Hu, Chen and Chou (2017), the marketing strategy used by hotels to influence the decision of people in selection of hotels for holiday includes understanding the psychology of the customer, and consumer behavior theory.
Based on the psychology of the consumers, hotels give various incentives to the customers like free breakfast, heavy discount during off-season or providing cab facilities to customers to tourist spots at very low cost. As stated by Ajzen (2015), there are many consumer...
