Introduction
Autism is one of the major functional disorders,
which prevail in youth in the modern healthcare context. The effects of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) range from psychological to social dimensions. In pediatrics, the advocacy for treating children with ASD with some of the science based informed models such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) is seen effective. The scholars tend to focus more on developing occupational therapy settings that are positively guided by the therapeutic interventions, which can ensure that the quality treatment is provided to the patients of ASD. The concerning aspects of this question relate to the problems in the context of supporting the treatment models such as CBT because in spite of proving their effectiveness, these models still need more advocacy, based on the research findings of the evidences present in this paper.
1. The PICO Question
    Population (P)
Effectiveness of CBT in treating children with ASD
    Intervention (I)
Informed model of cognitive behavioral therapy, developed through supporting at psychological and social level both.
    Comparison (C)
The other informed models will be compared such as Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT)
    Outcomes (O)
Measuring the effects of CBT in treating young population with ASD
The question is— “What is the effectiveness of informed model of cognitive behavioral therapy in treating children with ASD in comparison with the other informed models in order to measure the effects of CBT?”
2. Evidence Based Review of CBT as Scientific Informed Model
There are specific evidences provided to support this paper in terms of justifying the rationale of advocating for CBT as the best suitable model in pediatrics. Perihan et al. (2020), for example, conducted the Meta analysis of the twenty-three previous studies, in which the researchers could find that in addressing the basic issues of ASD such as anxiety, CBT was effective in providing support to the autistic individuals. A moderate level of reduction in the symptoms of anxiety was seen in their approach, which actually works, as the standpoint in the context of encouraging more interventions that are based in CBT than they are currently applied to treat autism in children.
In the same context, it should also be noted that Wood et al. (2019) provided results that motivate scholars towards affirming that CBT can be an advanced level therapy in treating autism in children. In a randomized control trial conducted, the researchers took 167 children with having anxiety as maladaptive as well as interfering in the course of treatment. Thus, to avoid the potential barriers, the researchers experimented with CBT based interventions and it showed promising results.
The CBT model specially designed for children gave...
