tudents will be able to synthesize their deep understanding of the “Science of Reading” into an elevator pitch (Audioor Video Presentation). An elevator pitch is a short synopsis speech and/or dialogue that should take no longer than it would take one to ride up 10 floors in an elevator or approximately 2-3 minutes.

Required criteria:

• When producing the “pitch” your audience will be those you decide are in the elevator with you – identify 5 people and their roles.


• Your pitch may be a dialogue or a monologue.


• A definition of the "Science of Reading".


• Evidence for the definition.


• How to address misconceptions, and


• Best practices.
