The questionnaire is categorised into two sections: Section 1: General Information Section 2: Customer Response Site of the survey My research was aimed at assessing the reasons for the popularity of McDonald's and the issues faced by the customers who used their services. For this reason, I had to go to a McDonald's outlet to collect the required data, I chose the outlet which was near to my university and went there after my classes were over. I was able to collect all the necessary information from the customers of that outlet only. Time taken to complete the survey: It took less than 5 minutes for me to conduct the survey for each respondent, so the entire process was finished within a couple of hours. The questions were short with only close ended questions therefore, answering them was easy and could be completed within a small period.  Issues faced during the survey: I did not have to face any major issues while collecting the data. This was mainly because I have a classmate who works as a part-timer in this outlet of McDonald’s, and I had asked him to talk to the manager to let me conduct the survey there. We did not have to face any problem with the outlet management. There were some issues while dealing with the customers, we could only ask them politely for assistance. Many of the customers turned us down and we had to keep waiting until our required sample size was surveyed. However, I knew that this was normal in case of on-site data collection and already expected for this to happen, so I was not very disappointed. All the participants who helped us were very nice to us. It was just that we had to wait longer.  Mode of data collection: The data collection method used for our research was collected through on-site data collection.  Advantages and disadvantages of Online and On-site surveys. Online survey Advantages: · Convenient process of data collection. · Easy to get respondents or increased response rate. · Flexible process as the respondents can reply when they are free. Disadvantages: · Sampling may be limited, and, in some cases, online surveys cannot be used. · Can be costlier. · No scope of probing into an answer due to the lack of an interviewer.  On-site Survey Advantages: · The interviewer can understand and capture non-verbal cues. · Questions can be explored in-depth.  Disadvantages: · Sample size becomes limited. · Respondents might not be free and can behave rudely. · Can be time consuming   Personal Reflection On-site surveys can be useful and convenient when the interviewer must take proper interviews to further understand a topic. It also helps the researcher in understanding different non-verbal cues. It can be time consuming and finding respondents may take time. But on-site surveys are important for in-depth research. However, in other cases online surveys can provide correct results but in a shorter period, making it a suitable option for collecting data.
