This is the final argument based on the evidences presented against Montresor as the cold blood murderer of Fortunato. The very belief of revenge is against any kind of justice; there is a legal system for personal embarrassment at physical or mental level. What Montresor did is now proved as an act of well-planned murder, which he also admitted at the beginning of the trial. He stated that killing someone is not the end of revenge but it should be filled with impunity to make sure that full mental regimes are satisfied. His beliefs are proven and his guilt is no longer justifiable. He is a brutal killer and his actions should reflect upon the intensity of the judgment that should be given here (Quinn, 1997).
