Introduction
    Gone are
the days, when managers used to command their human resources available in the workplace and the employees use to simply follow the commands. Culture of most of the business organisations has evolved in the 21st century and is now focused towards team work and shared decision making. Individuals nowadays like to be a part of the managerial tasks in the organisation. All this has led to a change in the HR strategies being followed in 21st century workplaces. HR strategies of business organisations in the 21st century is now focused towards retaining their valuable and talented employees by keeping them motivated, enhancing their productivity and improving job satisfaction. Through this paper an effort has been made to shed light on the global HR strategies of 21st century workplace.

Job Satisfaction
    HR managers in the global context like to come up with monetary and non-monetary rewards that will help to create a feeling of well-being and satisfaction among the employees (Kowalski & Loretto, 2017). HR managers have also been putting in a number of efforts to maintain an ethical workplace culture inclusive of different cultures all across the world so s to satisfy the employees. This HR strategy has been adopted by most of the 21st century workplaces to improve the productivity of the employees based on the notion that if an employee is happy working within the organisation, their performance is going to improve consequently.
Employee Retention
    As the competition among business organisations continue to increase all across the globe, human resources turn out to be the most valuable assets for the organisation to gain competitive advantage. Therefore, retaining the employees within the organisation is primary focus of the HR department. It has been done primarily through HR strategies focused towards employee engagement by managing the expectations of the employees from their workplace. The leadership strategies of the business are now oriented towards engaging the workforce so that talented, knowledgeable and experienced employees choose to work with the organisation.
Training and Development
    Training and skill development is another important HR strategy, which is adopted by 21st century workplaces operating in a global context.
