Instructions:After reading the Content Seven material, go the the following link and read the essay by Carl Sagan entitledA New Way To Think About Rules To Live ByAfterward, please write an essay addressing the following questions.1.Which rule(s) do you live by personally? Give specific examples of how you apply the rules you identified in your life. Why do you choose these rules over others? Defend your personal position with sound reasoning.2. Red Corp hires you to consult on an ethical issue they are facing. Red Corp recently discovered that its customer database has been hacked and published online, along with the customer database of its biggest competitor, Blue Corp. Red Corp had no prior knowledge of or involvement with the hacking until a Red Corp employee stumbled upon the files published on the internet and brought it to the attention of Red Corp management.Red Corp has no idea how the files were hacked and published, or by whom. Obviously, since Blue Corp's customer database is also published online, Red Corp doesn't believe that Blue Corp had anything to do with the hacking (i.e. it appears Blue Corp was a victim to the same hacking as Red Corp).Red Corp doesn't know if Blue Corp knows about the databases online yet. Red Corp believes that if Blue Corp knew about it, Blue Corp would almost certainly use Red Corp's customer information against Red Corp (i.e. try to steal Red Corp's customers). Red Corp checked its account activity over the last quarter, and there doesn't appear to be any unusual changes in business, so it is unlikely that Blue Corp knows about the databases (yet). Red Corp has begun the legal process of petitioning for its database to be removed from the internet, but the process is expected to take at least a few weeks because of the information rights issues involved. What do you advise Red Corp to do? Tell Blue Corp about the databases online, and hope they will agree to a mutual good faith non-use of competitor information? Use Blue Corp's database and go after Blue Corp's customers, in anticipation that Blue Corp will likely do the same eventually? Ignore it and hope that Blue Corp doesn't find it? Something else? On which of the rule(s) discussed in the Sagan essay do you base your recommendations, and why?3. Suppose that Red Corp decides to use the database, and begins under-bidding Blue Corp and taking its customers. Witnessing this, Blue Corp investigates and discovers the customer databases (both Blue Corp's and Red Corp's) online. If Blue Corp does nothing, it believes that Red Corp will continue to steal customers. Blue Corp hires you to consult on a response. What do you advise Blue Corp to do? Retaliate? Ignore the information and the attack by Red Corp? Something else? On which of the rule(s) discussed in the Sagan essay do you base your recommendations, and why?4. Did you rely on the same rules in your advice to question #1 and #2?If you did, can you think of a different set of circumstances in which you would have given different advice (and relied on different rules)? If you did not, why not? How were these situations different such that the difference caused you to change your basis of morality?IMPORTANT NOTE: For the sake of these questions, you may assume that the published customer databases cannot be removed from the internet, and that law enforcement cannot help. While in reality, these options would be perfectly reasonable, they aren't relevant to the purpose of the assignment.Submission Instructions:

Answer to Question 1
Personally, I live by
the rules of moral codes. I believe that moral codes are the drivers of human ethics and behavior in their lives. The decisions that are being undertaken by most of the people in their lives should be morally driven. Morally driven decisions are termed to be the best decisions because those decisions do not levy harmful impacts on society (Hamza & Jarboui, 2020). Moral decisions consider each other’s feelings and respect the dignities. Therefore, moral codes should be implemented within the decisions and life rules (Moehler, 2018).
This will help us in taking the right decisions at the right time. In the application of the moral codes in my behavior, I go by the Golden Rule. The Golden Rule is the most admired morality of the behavior in the West (Sagan, 1993). The Golden Rule stands for, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” This rule means that evil should not be repaid with evil. Rather the evil intentions should be repaid with good gestures, as well (Ellemers, 2017).
I feel that the evil gestures in return of evil intentions will make the whole world evil. Therefore, it is our individual duty to ensure that we rectify our behaviors towards each other. The Golden Rule allows inflicting positive and kind mentality towards our attitude, which, in turn, makes the world a better and comfortable place to live in. therefore, I always follow the Golden Rule in my life.
I have experienced several instances in my personal life, in which I have applied the aesthetics of the Golden Rule. I have faced several wraths and acts of injustice where I was deprived of several opportunities irrespective of my talent, hard work and dedication. However, I have not been raged with those situations. Revenge is never a good option (Kimbrough & Vostroknutov, 2020). Therefore, I have ensured that I will treat those incidents with forgiveness and kindness.
My kind of treatment has helped me to become a bigger person in my life. The implications of the Golden Rule in my life have also helped to get rid of mental anxieties that might be due to anger and dissatisfaction in life. The Golden rule helps me to keep content in my life. I have chosen these rules over others because of several reasons. I will analyze those reasons in detail.
What goes around comes around
One of the prime aspects of the Golden Rule includes the ideas of “what goes around comes around” (Rakhshani, 2017). I believe that all of our fates are directly linked to our endeavors. What we deliver back to the world comes back to us. The infusion of moral codes and ethical practices within the behavior determines and structures our fate. If people are kind, the individual will also receive kindness in return. Therefore, I have chosen these rules. No other rules, other than Golden Rules, focus on rectifying our behaviors and help in self-analysis and introspection (Stanger, Backhouse, Jennings & McKenna, 2018).
This rule helps in keeping Calm Mental State
The Golden Rule also helps in maintaining a peaceful mental state. The Golden Rule allows you to be a greater person in life with a mind full of kindness and justice. The implications of the Golden Rule in life help in keeping a calm mental state by restricting any anxieties that can be caused by anger and revenge. The Golden Rules help in making a better person for a better future with a strong focus on the positive aspects of life (Richards, 2017). Revenge, anger and frustration are the negative vibes that destroy the mental calmness. Therefore, this rule is better than the others are.
It helps in making this world a better place
The Golden Rule is the only rule that allows us to be kind enough. Kindness is contagious. If everybody follows kindness in this world, this world will be a better place to live in. With the help of kindness, individuals can easily create a livable place without the existence of hatred and anger.
The Golden Rule has applied to my personal position appropriately. This is because I work in teams. Teamwork requires mutual respect and kindness to avoid any kinds of hatred and feelings of revenge (Purzycki et al., 2018). The feeling of hatred within teamwork will reduce the...
