Running Head: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT1 SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT 4 SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT Table of Contents Wicked Problem3 Wicked Problem’s Relation with Organizational Strategy3 Impact on Organization’s Mission3 Consequences3 References4 Wicked Problem The two major problems I encountered with one of my former employers (A famous Energy company) were racial bias and income disparity. During that time, I suffered from those two wicked problems because of my racial-cultural background. I was often ignored by some of my colleagues who lacked cultural tolerance and was offered a lower wage than a colleague who performed the same job function as me. This problem of income disparity is still chasing me in today's digital and modern era (van Opijnen, 2021). The wicked problem mentioned above is closely associated with organizational strategy, as organizational strategy suggests a plan that specifies the business priorities and sets a direction towards a goal. The priorities might include money, labor, and inventory to support the infrastructure, marketing, promoting, production, manufacturing, and many more. If income disparity occurs with any employee, then it might affect the organizational strategy. Yes, the wicked problem mentioned above might affect the organizational mission and vision. If any organization supports racial injustice and income disparity, it will leave a negative and wrong impression for the client, which would hurt the company's reputation. Any organization's vision describes the future desired position of the company, and its mission defines the company's objectives, principles, and approach to reach those objectives (Salazar, Clauson, Abel & Clauson, 2019). If not implemented proper action against these two major wicked problems, then terrible and threatening situations might occur, which would exploit the organization's reputation.
