They can also practise critical thinking abilities by developing a mental plan or drawing of whatever they want to make and then carrying it out. Art therapy, a type of intervention regarded to be beneficial in the management of trauma issues, is highly being implemented to combat child abuse and is frequently used as the principal kind of strategy with children suffering from sexual and physical abuse, verbal harassment, and neglect (Hass-Cohen et al., 2018).
Children who have been sexually assaulted frequently have trouble verbalising traumatic events. The visual arts approach may be more helpful than exclusively verbal therapies in combating detachment and maintaining good emotional control.
