Introduction
The stages of life and the influence of ages are keenly dependent on each other. At different ages, the life experiences are different, even the way of sharing life experience is also different based on their ages. This paper is based on sharing the life experiences of a patient aging 65 years regarding the impact of age in healthcare and its basic influences.
Effect of Stage of Life on Interaction with Health Care Professionals
The lifecycle of a person is categorized under five stages: infant, childhood, youth, adulthood and old age (Thancharoen, Waleekhachonloet, Limwattananon & Anutrakulchai, 2020). However, this categorization differs in distinctive places, but for healthcare and its other references, only these five stages are considered. The impact of ages works in different ways with the medical amendments and the behavior by medical associates.
While interviewing Mr. Joseph, a patient suffering from liver cancer, aged 65 years’ old, he explained, the understanding and interaction approach was easier for him with the medical assists. In comparison to Joseph, patients aging 50-52 were comparatively shy and hesitating sharing their health issues regarding sexual changes in open with the medical assists. As per Joseph’s communication, he had more approachable self-efficacy, which helped him get better and appropriate health support by the medical team.
Therefore, the life stages have greater impacts on the quality of communication, which fosters medical advancement because it interrupts the quality of interaction.
