A look at the well-being of the families of the incarcerated in Australia: Mindful of mental and economic effects
Introduction:
Limited knowledge related to mental disorders of indigenous prison population laid the foundation for writing the research proposal. This research proposal aims to study the effects of social ,economic and cultural on the metal disorders of the incarcerated Australians. The most common groups comes under are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people [1]. From the reported literature,
a report associated with the aboriginal inmates states that the rates of death and mental disorders is relatively high in the inmates in comparison with the old reports stating that the mental disorders are high in men [2]. The increased death among the inmates are because of drugs and suicide. Various injustices happened laid the foundation stone and the resulting consequences are lack of education, money, health insurances and finally into various crimes and taking drugs leading to the deuteriation of health of the individual both physically and mentally [2]. Hence, there is a need to study the reasons by conducting various surveys and based on the collected data to help and educate the prisoners by various psychological training sessions with the prior written and verbal consent from the prisoners who are participating in the research studies.
Guaranteeing that socially proper administrations for the prosperity what's more, emotional wellness of all imprisoned people groups requires approaches and practices that support that point, and that are upheld by adequate monetary venture and close, conscious cooperation with individuals from applicable Indigenous people group who can help with the plan, conveyance and assessment of those administrations [3].
Government and jail specialists are under an honest conviction to address the uniqueness in emotional wellness and diminished admittance of imprisoned individuals to prove based socially responsive furthermore, clinically equipped intercessions. This undertaking requires both the assessment and global scattering of these intercessions to support more noteworthy global correspondence about this key civil rights issue [3]. Research Objective:
1. The current research aims to study Why the indigenous Australian prisoners are more prevalent to mental disorders.
2. Estimation of Mental disorders using various approaches.
3. Identification of resources which can help the prisoners to overcome the mental disorders.
Literature Review:
Native Australians have a rich and interesting society traversing no less than 50,000 years [1]. The incarceration, social adversity are interlinked and showing their effects on the mental health of indigenous people. It was reported in the literature that most of the psychological stress leading to the death is because of various social, cultural and because of drugs [4]. The prison environment will show adverse effect on the prison inmates, because of this environment they get mental disorders associated with impaired anxiety, depression, increased incidence of suicides. The inadequate living conditions that is the prison environment with lack of structural aspect will affect the prisoners emotions for anxiety and depression leading to their long term effects [5].  Murphy has studied the correlation between the prisoners victimization and psychological distress - post traumatic stress symptoms. Murphy has not analysed hoe the social factors like family and friends are impacting on the distress [6]. Boxer studied that the incarcerated violence will increase the distress and provokes the antisocial behaviour in prison inmates [7].
Many injustices were happed to the aboriginal people. The injustices are associated with their lands marginalization, family separation child removal. These people are facing challenges associated with health, legal and socioeconomic status [8]. These factors are contributing more aboriginal people in various crimes. It was also reported that mental disorders associated with the prison population is relatively high in comparison to the outside communities.
Lack of education is the other reason for most of the people are engaging the crimes. As it was observed from the literature that most of the inmates does not even completed their class 8. Poverty and family separations are the other reasons because of which most of them are engaged in criminal cases [1,2].
