You are asked to go long, or short TSLA (NASD symbol). As you know, that is, buy it, or sell it short.

You will create a portfolio consisting of a long or short position in the stock (the straight equity exposure).

You must also take a position in the options market. This could be a protective put, or a covered call.

In a WORD narrative, you will explain, in depth (at least 3-5 typed pages) with references and URLs, why you are long or short. You will also explain the thinking behind your choice of the options position.

Note the prices of each leg of your position at the outset. Then, conclude your investment adventure sometime in Februray, and calculate your holding period return (HPR).
