Plants and animals, land based, freshwater or marine organisms may be used. Organisms must be a species that is established as a reproducing species to be discussed. 1. The Burmese Pythons have taken ove

This region is predominantly a swamp region, which has been considered to be fit for the survival of the massive Burmese Pythons, which grow to almost twenty feet in length. In addition to that, the female Burmese Pythons lay a huge number of eggs, counting to an approximate number of 50 to 100 eggs every year (HISTORY, 2020). Lack of predators in the region of the Everglades has resulted in the overt domination of this particular species of snakes in the swampy locale. The Burmese Pythons were brought to the United States as pet exotic snakes. However, due to the unmanageable size of the snakes, some irresponsible owners began to release them into the wild. However, it has been identified that Hurricane Andrew, which happened in the year 1992, resulted in destroying a python breeding facility, which released innumerable pythons to the wilderness (HISTORY, 2020).
2. The uncontrollable increase in the numbers of the Burmese Pythons has wreaked havoc on the mammals present in the Everglades region of Florida. As a result of the severe impact of the Burmese Pythons on the mammals of the region, the biodiversity of the Everglades is being extremely threatened. It has been observed from a particular study that between the years 1997 to 2012, raccoon, opossum, and bobcat populations in the Everglades region have diminished by 99.3, 98.9, and 87.5 percent respectively (HISTORY, 2020).
