You will investigate the science of an area of Protein Technologies of your choosing.Note that this assignment is separate from your Protein Investigation Project. Here you explore a methodology/technology (e.g., ELISA, Flow Cytometry, NMR, X-ray crystallography, spectroscopy) used for the study of proteins.
In this assignment you will record a video presentation with visual aids (e.g. powerpoint/animations/drawings) to explain theory and application of a specific technique used to study proteins. In your presentation you should:
- Introduce yourself and your topic
- Describe the basic process and the science behind a technique used for the investigation of proteins
- What does the technique show about the structure and/or function of proteins
- How is the data obtained and interpreted (provide at least one example case from the literature - you can use any protein including the one you are studying for your Protein Investigation Project)
- Provide an example of an alternative technique and how it compares to your selected technique
Your video should be no shorter than 3 minutes and no longer than 5 minutes and uploaded to Canvas as an MP4 or MOV type file.
