Introduction
The following comparison is about two five star properties, Sofitel (an Accor hotel group) and The Ritz-Carlton (a Marriott Bonvoy group). Both the hotels are five star category hotels. The hotels are widely spread throughout the globe with chains of hotel properties and they provide excellent services to their clients. Both the properties are situated in France and they provide the true essence of the French culture. In the following project both the hotels will be described briefly and a detailed comparison will be done to ascertain their services to the clients.
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel
The Ritz-Carlton is an American luxury chain of hotels. The hotel group has around 101 luxury hotels and resorts over 30 countries and territories. The hotel group was founded in the year 1983 in Boston, Massachusetts and it is providing excellent services to the clients. The hotel is the subsidiary of the Marriot Group of hotels (Ritz-Carlton, 2019).

Sofitel Group of Hotels
Sofitel hotels and resort are a chain of luxury hotels originated from Paris, France. The hotel was founded in the year 1964 and was later taken over by the Accor group of hotels in the year 1980. Sofitel later become a brand name of luxury hotels and by the end of the year 2008, the total number of worldwide properties lies at 89. The hotel chain is established and providing their services to 41 countries (Accor, 2019).
