Introduction
Larceny is a different type of theft in which someone does the act that carries different manner in the thinking of different people because of the difference in thinking attitudes (Lawson,
2010). Hence, at the time of larceny, the people could not be able to understand that they are acting unethical work or getting the benefits from other people without paying money. Hence, this paper would describe the case study “It's not yours until you pay” with the help of two different theoretical frameworks such as consequentialism and non-consequentialism. These frameworks also help to understand about the nature of the people with the help of several situations such as ethics and the nature of work in the context of societal benefits.
Applicability of Theoretical Framework in the Analysis of Case Study
Both theoretical frameworks such as consequentialism and non-consequentialism could be applied to make the significance analyses of the given case study because these frameworks discuss about the ethics and morality of the people as like the given case study (BBC, 2013). The both frameworks generally believe that an activity of people could be wrong or right on the basis of deed consequences. The consequentialism framework is effective to understand the entire aspects of the given case study with the positive sense because it also focuses over the positive sense of the action that helps to develop the understanding about the customers and their purchasing behaviour at that time when they are in the supermarket.
Due to the great competition in the market, the almost organizations offer the open packs of their products for the customers by which they could meet their requirements with the offers of the products. After the matching of their needs, the customers pick up the product without any kind of hesitation (Lawson, 2010). On the other hand, the place of supermarket includes several products to attract the customers for making decision related to purchasing. They do not think that they are doing ethical or unethical activities because it gives them happiness.
The consequentialism framework describes the act which gives the happiness to other people or by which the people could feel happy is a good deed, whether it could be wrong in the sense of ethics or other social consequences.
